$8 billion US military aid package to Taiwan will 'boost confidence' in region: President-elect

The US House of Representatives approved an $8 billion defense package, aimed at enhancing deterrence in the West Pacific ally chain, stated Taiwan's President-elect Lai Ching-te. He highlighted that the funding would bolster peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait and foster regional confidence.
