Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese announces engagement

Australian prime minister Anthony Albanese announced his engagement to partner Jodie Haydon. They first met at a Melbourne event in 2020 and appeared together during the 2022 federal election campaign. Albanese, 60, was sworn in as prime minister in May 2022. Haydon, with a finance and banking career, currently works as the women's officer for the NSW Public Service Association.
