Mike Pompeo denies State Department inspector general firing was retaliation

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Wednesday defended his recommendation to fire the State Department's inspector general, saying he should have done it earlier and rejecting claims his decision was motivated by political retaliation.
