China Hubei city to relax outbound travel curbs, Beijing out of bounds

The Chinese city of Ezhou in Hubei province, the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic, has relaxed restrictions on outbound travel for non-resident citizens within its borders, but they will not be allowed to travel to Beijing, it said on Wednesday.

Hubei citizens set off fireworks to celebrate their lives reverting back to normal after around a months quarantine amid the coronavirus outbreak. The video, shot in the city of Qianjiang in central China's Hubei province on March 13, shows roadblocks being removed and fireworks being set off into the sky. A man said: "It is 20:00 March 13, 2020, all roadblocks in the city have been removed. Let's set off the fireworks to celebrate!" According to reports, all control points inside the city have been removed, traffic has returned back to normal and companies started to reopen. The video was provided by local media with permission.
