Oh baby: Woodland Park Zoo is expecting another gorilla

After a busy "baby boom" of a spring and summer that included mountain goat kids, penguin chicks and wallaby joeys, the Woodland Park Zoo is preparing for another new arrival as the 24 year old western lowland gorilla Nadiri is expecting her second baby. The zoo recently announced that Nadiri safely completed her first trimester of pregnancy and is expecting her baby with father Kwame in late January or February 2021. The new baby will join brother Kitoko, who was born in March to mother Uzumma and father Kwame, as the 15th baby gorilla born at the zoo.
