NASA and the White House say an international astronaut will be invited on a future moon landing. Wednesday's announcement comes as Vice President Kamala Harris and the rest of the National Space Council stress the need for global cooperation in space. Harris heads the council, which is holding its third meeting under the Biden administration. NASA and the White House promise to land the international astronaut on the moon alongside Americans by decade's end. NASA has included international astronauts on trips to space for decades. A Canadian has been selected to fly around the moon a year or so from now with three U.S. astronauts.
