Covid-19: Maharashtra sees highest no of cases & deaths in a day

A week after the first phase of ‘Mission Begins Again’ took off, Maharashtra, as well as Mumbai, saw a big surge in cases and deaths on Wednesday. The deaths were highest in a day: 149 in the state and 97 in Mumbai. The state also saw its highest single-day rise in cases (3,254), which took the total cases to 94,041 just three months after the infection arrived.
