India, Iran ink 10-year pact to equip, operate Chabahar port

India and Iran signed a 10-year contract to enhance and manage the Chabahar port terminal, granting India access to Afghanistan and Central Asia while bypassing Pakistan's denial of land access to the region. The strategic port has the potential to become a significant hub for linking landlocked countries with India's economy.
