‘DMK, AIADMK have outlived their utility’

With an eye on a “grand alliance” that would include the BJP and other parties, barring DMK and AIADMK for the 2026 assembly election, PMK decided to team up with NDA for the coming Lok Sabha polls, said party president and Rajya Sabha MP Anbumani Ramadoss. In an interview with Jaya Menon and Bosco Dominique, Anbumani said the DMK and AIADMK cannot give anything new, but his party could do wonders. On differences with his father and PMK founder S Ramadoss over choosing the BJP, Anbumani said it was concocted by the AIADMK, which was busy wooing VCK and Congress. Excerpts
