Justice Ritu Bahri is Uttarakhand's first woman Chief Justice

Justice Ritu Bahri, a distinguished member of the Punjab and Haryana high court (HC), officially took on the responsibilities of Chief Justice (CJ) of the Uttarakhand high court. This appointment came after the collegium's endorsement and the subsequent approval from the Union Law Ministry on Friday. Notably, she has become the first woman to occupy this prominent position in the judicial history of the hill state.
