Inaugural meeting of Cong's new National Alliance Committee at 11.30 am today

The first meeting of the National Alliance Committee of the Congress, formed to engage like-minded political outfits for possible alliances in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, will be held in Delhi. The committee will also discuss seat allocation with partners in the INDIA bloc and other like-minded parties. Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal proposed Mallikarjun Kharge as the Bloc's national face. The committee members include Mukul Wasnik, Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, Salman Khurshid, and Mohan Prakash. The INDIA parties aim to challenge the BJP-led NDA in the 2024 elections.
