Nine more airports to come up in UP in next two years: Jyotiraditya Scindia

Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced plans to construct nine new airports in Uttar Pradesh, bringing the total count to 18 within the next two years. The government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has prioritized the civil aviation sector. In the last nine years, 75 airports have been developed, including greenfield airports. Three additional airports have been constructed in Uttar Pradesh. The Meerut airport, identified under the UDAN scheme, will be operated by FlyBig under the Meerut-Lucknow-Meerut route.
