Vishnu Deo Sai: Calm and composed tribal leader with a strong grassroots connection

The 59-year-old tribal leader, who was elected to the state legislative assembly from Kunkuri (ST) constituency in North Chhattisgarh, will be the second tribal leader to assume the highest office after the state's first chief minister, Ajit Jogi, who became the chief minister immediately after Chhattisgarh was carved out of Madhya Pradesh in November 2000.
