UP teacher sacked ‘for ignoring student’s Ram Ram greeting’

A teacher at Saiema Mansoor Public School in Hathras district was dismissed after a controversy arose over his response to a student's religious greeting. The incident, which began when a Class XI student alleged that the teacher did not reciprocate his 'Ram Ram' greeting, quickly escalated into a community-wide uproar. Right-wing groups protested at the school gates, leading to the dismissal of the teacher by the school principal. The district magistrate has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the matter and a report is expected within two days.
