12.3 lakh aspirants register for JEE, Maharashtra leads pack

Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2024 witnesses a record number of aspirants with a cumulative registration surpassing the previous year. The number of applicants has significantly increased compared to 2023, with Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana leading in state-wise registrations. Female representation has marginally improved, and the test also received registrations from the third gender. JEE (Main) 2024 will be conducted in 13 languages, with a growing number of test takers in English and Gujarati. Hindi medium registrations have witnessed a fall.
