The city is facing challenges with flooding, with the main waterways Adyar and Cooum rivers at full capacity. The storm's proximity to Chennai and its stationary position for over eight hours contributed to the heavy downpour. The cyclone has also affected Andhra Pradesh, prompting relief measures and the deployment of NDRF and SDRF teams.
