Girish Chandra Murmu, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, has been elected as the Vice-Chair of the UN Panel of Auditors for the upcoming year. This appointment reflects India's commitment to high standards of external audit and its active involvement in shaping the global audit landscape. During the panel meeting, Murmu also held a bilateral meeting with Pierre Moscovici, the First President of Cour des Comptes, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations between their respective audit institutions. The Panel of External Auditors, consisting of heads of 12 Supreme Audit Institutions, oversees audits of various UN entities.
