To make Railway Board member’s ride smooth, over 1,000 inconvenienced at Chennai's Egmore station

Over 1,000 passengers traveling from Chennai to Madurai were inconvenienced when the Pandian Express was moved from its usual platform to accommodate a special train for a Railway Board member. Passengers had to use stairs, lifts, and escalators to reach the train, causing frustration and inconvenience. Madurai MP Su Venkatesan criticized the decision, stating that it disrupted thousands of passengers for the sake of one person's convenience. The Southern Railway has responded, stating that the decision was based on operational constraints and measures will be taken to avoid such incidents in the future.
