TOI impact: Tasmac outlet that was a menace near girls' school shut down

Following protests from school students, residents, and activists, Tasmac has closed a retail outlet near a girls' school in Chennai. Students had complained of harassment by drunk individuals at the outlet. A signature campaign led by a councillor garnered 1,500 signatures from students. The closure was praised by residents and students, but concerns remain as there is another Tasmac outlet located near a different school and a metro station exit.
