Two Shiv Sena & BJP MPs openly back call for Maratha quota

Shiv Sena MP Hemant Patil has announced his intention to resign in support of the Maratha community's demand for reservation under the OBC category. Latur BJP MP Sudhakar Shrangare has also extended his support to the Maratha community. These actions come in response to recent reports of villages prohibiting the entry of politicians and instances of their vehicles being targeted with stones. In response, former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has urged a Maratha reservation activist to prioritize his health.
