43km in 80 mins flat: Bengaluru fully functional Purple Line cheers Metro commuters

Namma Metro in Bengaluru has opened its entire Purple Line, providing seamless connectivity from Challaghatta to Kadugodi. Commuters have been quick to embrace the new service, with trains on the Byappanahalli-Whitefield section being packed during peak hours. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL) has reported a significant increase in ridership on the Purple Line, with 54,428 people travelling on the extended Byappanahalli-Whitefield stretch in a single day. BMRCL estimates that ridership will increase by 75,000-80,000 with the opening of the full Purple Line.
