Part of NH-10 linking Siliguri to Gangtok caves in after rain & landslide, traffic hit

A portion of National Highway 10 in Sethijhora, connecting Gangtok, Kalimpong, and Siliguri, collapsed due to heavy rainfall and a landslide. No casualties have been reported, but traffic has been suspended in the area. Authorities have diverted vehicles to alternative routes and are working on repairing the road. The restoration work is expected to be completed by Monday afternoon. Kalimpong has been experiencing continuous rainfall for the past three days, and the Indian Meteorological Department has issued forecasts for more rain until September 29.
