Odisha: Govt sounds alert after scrub typhus claims 5 lives in Bargarh

Following a surge in scrub typhus cases which claimed five lives in Bargarh district in the past 11 days, the state government has issued directives to all district health authorities to intensify surveillance. Currently, 12 patients of the disease are undergoing treatment at the VSS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Sambalpur.
