CRPF jawan dies of gunshot wounds in Pulwama, suicide suspected

A CRPF jawan died of bullet injuries in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district early Saturday, Srinagar Police said. “The apparent cause of death is suicide. Everything would be revealed after the investigation,” a police spokesperson said. Around 1.55am, gunshots were heard near Sail Chersoo area, the spokesperson said, adding: “After assessing crucial evidence, a jawan of CRPF’s 112Bn, Constable/Sepoy Ajay Kumar, was found lying dead in a pool of blood.”
