Himachal Pradesh: Flash floods in Kinnaur damage houses, apple orchards; road to Shimla blocked

In the last 24 hours heavy rains have once again caused extensive damage in Himachal Pradesh, especially in Kinnaur district where flash flood in Kamru nullah washed away over two dozen vehicles, besides damaging apple orchards and water mills. National Highway-5 was also closed for five hours at Brauni Khad in Jhakri in Shimla district following heavy rains and the highway also remained blocked till afternoon at Shilaru in Theog after a landslide.
