NRI kabaddi promoter Surjan Singh Chatha arrested in Sandeep Nangal Ambian murder case

UK national Surjan Singh Chatha, who is a kabaddi promoter, was arrested by Jalandhar Rural police on Thursday morning in the murder case of kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal Ambia on March 14 last year. Jalandhar rural SSP Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar said that 11 accused involved in the crime had already been arrested along with arms and ammunition. He said that Chatha was named as an accused on the basis of the statement given by slain player's family. A local court later remanded Chatha to a day's police custody.
