Daily Covid count tops 4,000, highest in over 6 months; 1  1 fatalities in a day

India on Wednesday recorded 4,435 fresh Covid-19 cases, the highest daily count in more than six months, and 11 fatalities due to the infection, as infections continued to spread in the country at a doubling time of less than seven days. Four fatalities were reported from Maharashtra and one death each reported from Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Puducherry and Rajasthan, while four previous deaths were reconciled into the records by Kerala.
