Beleswar temple accident: ‘People fell into the well, hands still folded in prayer’

Vedic chants of the hawan were suddenly interrupted by a loud crack. The devotees sitting around yajna looked around for a split second, puzzled. The next moment, their world collapsed around them. The ‘floor’ they were sitting on caved in, sending them plunging into a deep well that held 25 feet of stinking, muddy water.​
