Bengaluru metro structure falls; techie, kid killed

A 28-year-old woman and her two-and-a-half-year-old son were killed, while her husband and daughter sustained injuries, when an under-construction Metro pillar in Bengaluru came crashing down on them on Tuesday. The bike-borne family was passing through the stretch on Outer Ring Road around 10am when the reinforcement cage made of iron rods for the construction of an 18-metre-tall pillar of Namma Metro’s Blue Line corridor collapsed on them.
