When Amarinder Singh resigned as Punjab chief minister on September 18 after months of a public spat with state Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu, his outburst highlighted how the situation was handled in BJP ruled states. As many as five BJP chief ministers were changed in the last seven months without any sulking or cribbing. While Amarinder resigned saying he felt “humiliated” by the way the leadership handled the whole affair, the five BJP CMs felt “humbled” that they got a chance to serve the party and their respective states.
