Indian Navy can now engage enemy submarines from far-off distances with help of SMART weapon system: DRDO

Once the Supersonic Missile Assisted Release Torpedo (SMART) weapon system is fully developed it would boost the Indian Navy's anti-submarine warfare capability and allow it to engage enemy submarines from far off distances, the DRDO chief said.
