China opposes 'unilateral action' by India on Kashmir dispute, backs Pakistan

China stated that the Kashmir dispute should be resolved peacefully through 'UN Charter, relevant Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreements' but any 'unilateral actions' that would complicate the situation must be avoided.
