Kumar believes that some stories deserve to be told for their intrinsic value, rather than their monetary performance. He expressed his delight at the success of Shah Rukh Khan's film "Jawan" and hopes that Bollywood can produce 2000-3000 crore films like Hollywood. Kumar recently starred in the biographical survival thriller "Mission Raniganj," playing the role of Engineer Jaswant Singh Gill.
