Fatal Tesla crash in California draws federal investigators to site of head-on collision

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has sent investigators to the site of a fatal Tesla crash in California. Local news reports say that earlier this month a Tesla Model 3 and Subaru Impreza were involved in a head-on collision in South Lake Tahoe. One person died from injuries sustained in the crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, which as been looking into a string of accidents that involved autonomous driving technology used by Tesla. The NHTSA has sent investigative teams to at least 30 crashes since 2016 involving Teslas suspected of using partially automated driving systems. At least 16 people have died in the crashes.
