S&P/ASX 200 (INDEXASX:XJO) is lifting for a third day, with the index up 0.70% to 6,691 by about 1.48 pm. The bellwether index has gained more than 12.5% this month. Overnight in the US, the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged past 30,000 for the first time amid positive COVID-19 vaccine news and easing of political uncertainty as the Trump administration approved the start of the presidential transition. The S&P/ASX 200 is now in positive territory for 2020 despite the 38% tumble between mid-February and mid-March.
