Krewson won't run for re-election as St. Louis mayor

St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson, the city's first woman chief executive who's served since 2017, said Wednesday she won't run for re-election next year and will retire in April, upending that race. Krewson had said previously that she would run. Krewson cited a recent birthday and her age, 68, in saying that she'd chosen to leave public life.
