Kansas lands on White House document detailing Covid-19 ‘red zones’

Kansas appears on a document the White House Coronavirus Task Force compiled designating 18 states as “red zones” for their surge in Covid-19 cases. The state saw its rate of new cases jump 150% from the previous week, the death rate climb 30% and the positive test percentage increasing to a rate of 8.7%, up 1.2 percentage points, according to the document, which has been shared within the federal government but doesn’t appear to be posted publicly.
