County's Covid-19 cases down slightly, but positivity rate up

Allegheny County on Friday reported 177 new cases of Covid-19 and five hospitalizations amid a positive-test rate that went from 5% last week to 10% now. The number of cases was fewer than Thursday's 233 positives, but it was still the second-highest in several days of reaching records this week. And it comes as the Pittsburgh region went into the Fourth of July Weekend with a ban on in-person dining at bars and restaurants and gatherings of more than 25 people.
