Mirabella beaten by former preacher in Senate preselection battle

Greg Mirabella has failed in his bid to return to the Senate by 2025 after lingering resentments from his time as Liberal Party president splintered the conservative vote and Opposition Leader John Pesutto and his moderate faction rallied behind a candidate who didn’t make the final round.
