Ethiopian Television broadcasts video of national forces in Tigray region

Ethiopia's military has defeated local forces in the west of Tigray state, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said, accusing his foes of atrocities during a week of fighting that threatens to destabilise the Horn of Africa. The UNHCR fears a growing humanitarian emergency among civilians forced to flee fighting between federal troops and local forces in the Tigray region in northern Ethiopia.
