Guys... it's 2020 and we're playing 3:00pm hoops at mackey... it's been 278 days since purdue last took the floor at keady court.... of course this time, the seats were empty.... that didn't seem to matter for the boilers who put their foot on the gas early... that success thanks in part to this guy right here..

The house was a little quieter than normal for purdue's home opener against oakland.

But this is 2020.

It's been far from normal.

No band, no fans, no paint crew.

Had the paint crew been in attendance they would have put up a lot of their 3-point signs.

The boilermakers made 17 threes in their 93-50 rout of the grizzles.

Sasha stefanovic: it really helps when we have two dominant bigs that are sealing every single time and making it tougher rotations to be easier on them and we both shoot it well so when we see a zone we like that.

Matt painter: i think when we make simple plays and we make good decisions our skill level is going to enhance and tonight i think that happened.

You got to be able to make those simple plays and move the ball and read the defense and as the game progressed we did a lot better job of that.

Going into eve game just kind of taking what the defense gives me.

I don't really go in and have predetermined thoughts on offense or defense just because every game is different.
