The vaccine, which was developed by Oxford University and manufactured by AstraZeneca, .

Was found to be 90% effective in one of the tested dosing regimens.

Pfizer and Moderna each reported earlier this month that their vaccines were about 95% effective.

Another benefit of the AstraZeneca vaccine is that it is cheaper than the other drugmakers' vaccines.

Pfizer's costs about $20 per dose, and Moderna's costs about $15 to $25 per dose.

AstraZeneca's vaccine, which has also seen high success rates in the elderly, costs about $2.50 per dose
