Developing this morning... a wrong-way driver causes a serious accident along veterans memorial parkway in evansville.
The road was shutdown for more than two hours.
The accident happened just after 1:00 this morning -- and four people were sent to the hospital.
Police tell us the driver heading in the wrong direction was east-bound in the west-bound lanes of the parkway.
The driver hit one car head on -- another car was involved as a result.
Two of the three drivers were sent to the hospital along with two passengers who had minors injuries.
Veterans memorial parkway is back open.
