Crowds flee as five-storey factory dorm collapses in southern China

A crowd of people fled when a five-storey dorm building collapsed at a factory in southern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Guangzhou in Guangdong Province on September 16, shows over a dozen of people running away to escape when the wall from the top floor of a building suddenly toppled over.

Some stones were suspected to have hit the power lines causing sparks.

According to reports, the top floor of the dorm building was being decorated but the workers had finished work and left when the incident happened.

Two people were injured and are being treated in hospital.

While vehicles parked under the building were damaged.

Workers are tearing down the damaged part on the fourth floor of the dorm building, reports said.
