Brand new since six-- the rome branch of the naacp, along with the capitol theatre, hosted an outdoor movie night this evening.

The event was free to the public, but seating was limited due to covid-19 safety measures.
Before the movie started, members of the naacp helped those who haven't already, fill out their census and register to vote.
"doing the census is so important because it determines the amount of funding a community gets, the amount of resources a community gets, the amount of representation.
We have a lot of under- represented communities in rome and we'e trying to get them registered and signed up for the census so they can be counted and get the things that they need."
