This morning the potters fire is still burning north of oroville... its now 800 acres in size... with no containment..

The butte county sheriff's office has evacuation order* in place for the surrounding areas.

Cal fire is grouping the potters fire into the butte complex fire..

It includes the 2-24 fire..

That one is 330 acres burning in the area of forest ranch and doe mill... with no containment..

Gavin newsom is demanding an investigation into two small blackouts on friday and saturday.

On monday though the state avoided a third day of rolling blackouts.

In butte county 51 new cases were confirmed, for a new total of 1421.

390 of those total confirmed cases are between the ages of 18 and 24.

In shasta county 20 new cases were confirmed along with one death.

Two more corning high students tested positive for coronavirus... in total to three corning high football players have tested positive.

The superintendent say they wre not able to determine if those students were infected at football practice or somewhere else..

The district superintendent says they plan to continue with in person classes.

Progressive congresswoman alexandria ocasio-cortes is also scheduled to speak this evening... a change to university curriculum signed by governor gavin newsom monday.

Starting in the 2024-2025 academic year students at california state university will need to take an ethic studies course on order to graduate.

All csu campuses must*offe* courses on race and ethnicity by the 2021-2022 academic year.
