Health Officer Discusses Return To School

Dr Karen Landers spoke to the press on Friday about the ongoing decision-making in regards to schools starting back for the fall semester.

Landers the madison county health officer told me it's up to school systems to determine what is best for their district.

She and the health department only make recommendation s.

"our advice as far as the health department, we provide the medical information, we provide the guidelines as far as what we know from the cdc's information.

Landers said although madison county is the only school district going fully online for the first nine weeks in north alabama- it's something several large districts across the state are doing.
