And as kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us -- parents have mixed reaction.

Finding out her kids would be staying home in the fall was disappointing for megan olsen.

But& she says she was not surprised.

Just two weeks ago& roseburg public schools released its plan for reopening& which included some classroom instruction.

Now theye switched back to distance learning full time.

Roseburg education associaton president cameron pope tells me teachers are excited about this plan.

He says it will givethem more time to prepare their online classroom.

But some parents i spoke to are still uneasy about this new plan?

Viki palmer says distance learning was already difficult for her kids& and the latest plan is a step in the wrong direction.

But olsen says she has full confidence remote learning will go smoothly.?if that means we can make this positive and they get to stay home with me, i need to buckle down and take responsibility?

Right now, the school year is slated to begin on august 31.
