Pentagon: US Troops On Four-Hour Standby To Aid Minnesota

US military units are on a four-hour recall status to be ready if requested by the governor of Minnesota.

The move from the Pentagon comes amid civil unrest following the killing of a black man by a white Minneapolis police officer.

According to Reuters, it's unclear when the US military last invoked such a short timeline to potentially recall US troops.

Normally, it would only take place in situations such as natural disasters.
