More Than 100 COVID-19 Vaccines Are Undergoing Trials

As the global death toll from the novel coronavirus continues to climb, researchers are racing to find a vaccine.

It typically takes years or even decades for a vaccine to be developed, tested and approved.

A New York Times analysis says that under a normal timeline, a COVID-19 vaccine wouldn't be ready until 2036.

But these aren't normal times and the scientific world is working together to find a vaccine as soon as possible.

With more than 100 vaccine trials underway, scientists are hoping at least one will prove effective.

There have been nearly 6 million confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus worldwide, with a death count of 365, 131.
